The Coriander Seeds are produced by the flowers put out by the Coriandrum sativum plant, an annual herb known as cilantro and is commonly found in Asia, North Africa, as well as North and South America. Also used in cooking a wide variety of dishes. In Morocco, the condiment and seasoning known as Harissa uses coriander together with chiles, garlic, cumin, mint and olive oil. RECIPE

Because of it unique taste, this spice is very popular around the globe and has enticed people to try dishes with coriander. Try this Baked Breaded Chicken Steaks.

Ingredients:

  • 1 whole chicken, steak cuts
  • salt
  • ground black pepper
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 3 bay leaves
  • 1 lemon juice
  • 100g breadcrumbs
  • 1 tsp coriander powder
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp dried parsley
  • 1 large egg
  • olive oil

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsus.
  2. Season the steak with salt, pepper, garlic, bay leaves and lemon juice.
  3. Let the chicken absorb the flavor for a few minutes, then dry slightly with a paper towel.
  4. In a deep dish, mix the breadcrumbs, coriander, paprika and parsley.
  5. In another dish, beat the egg.
  6. First, coat the chicken in the egg, and then in the breadcrumbs.
  7. Place chicken on a baking tray lined with parchment paper.
  8. Sprinkle the chicken with olive oil (not too much), and bake for about 20 minutes, taking care not to overcook, so the chicken doesn't dry out.
  9. Serve warm, hot or even cold.
